In the same DALI network, there are up to 64 slave units, each with a separate address (Short Address). You can also assign a slave unit to a group. Up to 16 groups can exist at the same time, but one from the Units can only be assigned to one group. The host can also send information to all slave units. The main features of DALI protocol are: Asynchronous serial communication, 1200 baud rate, two-wire differential signal, one DALI bus can connect 64 slaves, each slave Can be addressed separately, but cannot communicate in both directions at the same time.
